• Basic use of colour
• Painting the background
• Basic use of shading
• Special Effects (Part 1)

DAY 2 PROJECTS - scarf, detailed silk painting, mounted picture, suncatcher

LEVEL 2 – Basics continued

* Further techniques for shading

* Painting a background with more than one colour

* Fixing mistakes

* Detailed outlining

* Special Effects (Part 2):-

• Watermark patterning – using water and alcohol 
  
• Washing out with alcohol
• Colour transition using more than one colour
• Salt effects

LEVEL 3

Will help you develop the techniques you’ve learnt on the previous two courses – the project objects are the same as Level 2, but with more detailed design options.

You can do a project of your own choice (approx A4 in size).

Send your ideas to me and I'll prepare your design so it is suitable for your silk painting project, and ready for you to immediately start (but I cannot guarantee you’ll finish in a day.)
